Who am I?
Hello! I would like to introduce myself as Jon Douglas, and it's a pleasure for you to be checking out my blog. This blog is to help improve my writing skills since I am a Journalism major after all, but it is also to track the progress of what it's like being a college student. I would like to continue with telling you a few interesting facts about myself that might be a little random, but I think it's a good idea that you should get to know me. For starters I'm a Freshman at the University of Arkansas and on top of that I'm 18 years old as of right now. As the title of my blog would suggest I am a Journalism major concentrating on Broadcast. Yes, that does mean I want to be on tv eventually. I enjoy studying this major. After all I did finish my first semester with a 4.0 GPA. Another random fact about myself is that I do modeling as well which is pretty cool. I love taking pictures and having pictures taken of me. You have to look good in front of the camera to be a great anchor. Speaking of being in front of the camera I am a weather anchor for my university news station. I love broadcasting every Thursday because every show is different, and you make so many great friends doing it. It helps to gain real world experience because after college I will pretty much be doing that, but it won't be the weather. Hopefully I'll end up being an actual anchor because that appeals to me way more. I guess that's all I have for now, and I hope you stayed tune for my next post!
